Elon Musk’s SpaceX has been awarded a $102 million USD Air Force contract to showcase its abilities to rapidly deliver military cargo and humanitarian aid anywhere in the world utilizing its heavy rockets. Space News shared that the five-year “rocket cargo program” is being led by the the USAF Research Laboratory (AFRL) and is focused on the use of large commercial rockets for Department of Defense global logistics.
