According to a report from Reuters, Tesla is delaying the release of its highly anticipated Cybertruck until 2023. The initial production is set to kick off in the first quarter of 2023.
“The person said the delay comes as Tesla is changing features and functions of the electric pickup to make a compelling product as competition heats up in the segment,” Reuters wrote.
Tesla has enjoyed a healthy start in the EV race. When it comes to trucks, they are facing competition from Rivian and Ford in the electric pickup truck space.
CEO Elon Musk originally announced Tesla’s electric pick up truck in 2019.
