Japanese mainstay Mazda is adding the all-new CX-50 for the 2022 model year with a more rugged, aggressive and larger option than the current CX-5 crossover. Sporting the same unibody platform as the Mazda3 and CX-30, the CX-50 will be available in naturally aspirated and turbocharged options of the 2.5 liter inline-four found in the CX-5. Production will commence in 2022 at Mazda and Toyota’s joint-plant in Alabama.
