Today we are getting the first look at ‘Johnson‘, a new television series produced by Cedric The Entertainer and Eric C. Rhone . The show explores and celebrates varying Black male perspectives through four lifelong friends living in Atlanta and all with the same last name (Johnson). Created by actor Deji LaRay (Bosch, Greenleaf), the plot centers around what happens as life takes them in different directions, threatening their tight bond. One of the original Kings of Comedy, D.L. Hughley also stars in the new series. ‘Johnson‘ premieres on August 1st across a variety of channels from Scripps. Press play to check out the trailer above.
