Square lead of hardware, Jesse Dorogusker officially announced that the payment processing organization will be creating a physical wallet for Bitcoin. This announcement was shortlyt confirmed following the announcement via Twitter by CEO Jack Dorsey.
In hopes to make Bitcoin custody more widely acceptable, “we’ll continue to ask and answer questions in the open. This community’s response to our thread about this project has been awesome, encouraging, generous, collaborative, and inspiring,” said Dorogusker.
No release date has been set as of yet. Bitcoin is currently available for purchase via Square’s Cash App.
