
Jeff Bezos’ spaceflight company Blue Origin has sold the first commercial seat on it’s maiden voyage into space. Nearly 7,600 individuals registered to bid from across 159 countries. The winning bid of $28 million USD will get to fly aboard the New Shepard for its first official suborbital flight on July 20th. Proceeds from the winning bid amount will be donated to Blue Origin’s foundation, Club for the Future, which aims to inspire future generations to pursue careers in STEM.
