NASCAR TACKLES DIVIRSITY ISSUES IN NEW DOCUMENTARY

Men’s grooming brand Old Spice and Overtime have partnered to bring the story of one black driver to life as he competes against systemic racism to overcome all odds. “RACE,” an 8-part docuseries about Hayden Swank.

Why This Matters: NASCAR has had very little representation from anyone of color since the sport was founded in 1947. In the top three divisions of NASCAR, there are over 100 full-time competitors. Only one is Black. Over the past six decades, there have been over 2,600 races in NASCAR’s top series. Of those race winners, only 1 of them is Black.

The series will premier this Thursday April, 29th with new episodes being released every Thursday via Overtime’s YouTube channel.
