KAMALA HARRIS BREAKS THROUGH BARRIERS AND MAKES HISTORY

Regardless of what side of the aisle you fall on, it is time to pause and take in the fact that Senator Kamala Harris of California has made history. She is the first woman, Black American and Indian American, first HBCU grad and first member of a black Greek letter organization (Alpha Kappa Alpha) to serve as vice president.

In the history of the United States, no woman has served as U.S. president, but Harris is first in line for succession for the first time ever in U.S. history.

Her victory is being celebrated by women and people of color across the globe, the country, on the campus of Howard University and at Black Lives Matter Plaza across from the White House.
