TikTokers will now have more music available to them to create their viral videos thanks to a new licensing deal with Sony Music Entertainment. TikTok has been on a rollercoaster ride the past few months following a proposed ban by President Trump and takover talks. Deals of the Sony deal are scarce but the shirt-form video app shared in a statement the would be working with Sony to support “greater levels of TikTok user personalisation and creativity” and “drive new and forward-looking opportunities for fan engagement with SME’s artists and music.”
