LEWIS HAMILTON BREAKS MICHAEL SCHUMACHER’S FORMULA 1 RECORD WITH 92 RACE WINS

Lewis Hamilton has raced his way into the history books by notching his 92nd grand prix victory on Sunday in Portugal to break the with Michael Schumacher for the most career F1 wins. Hamilton started on pole but quickly lost the lead as his tires didn’t warm up amid cool temperatures and a few raindrops at the Algarve International Circuit. Hamilton quickly regained the grip on his tires and track and chased down team member Valtteri Bottas and raced to the checkered flag.

“I feel fantastic. Very humbled,” said the Mercedes driver. “Very difficult to explain the feeling. I feel young, I feel energized. And, of course, I’m very grateful. I’m constantly thinking of the guys I’m working with.”
