After three gruling months following the restart after the season shutdown due to COVID, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are the 2019-2020 NBA champions. This marks LeBron’s 4th NBA championship and the Lakers organization 17th. LeBron finished with 28 points, 14 boards and 10 assists in 41 minutes of play tonight. Anthony Davis added 19 points and 15 rebounds. He is a champion for the first time. Davis owned the interior on both ends, the reason the Lakers outscored the Heat by a 34-16 first-half margin in the paint. LeBron James was also awarded the Finals MVP trophy.
