Sony has tweeted out an apology to buyers who encountered a preorder issue that ended up leaving gamers without a secured PlayStation 5 console. The console was announced last Wednesday that it would be available for preorder the next day but was launched just hours later on Walmart. This then lead to a mad scramble from other retailers open their preorder links. Resellers were able to get access to multiple preorders while the average consumer was left with nothing. Sony made a promise to release more preorders “over the next few days”.
