Springhill Co., new media company owned by LeBron James and Maverick Carter has secured a $100 million USD investment. The round of funding will help the media company with its “unapologetic agenda”, “give a voice to creators and consumers who’ve been pandered to, ignored, or underserved.”
What They’re Saying: “I’ve always wanted to use the platform of basketball to empower those around me. Now I’m incredibly excited about the opportunity to build a company that empowers creators, consumers, and everything it touches. The SpringHill Company defines empowerment. You see it in the team we’ve built, the stories we tell, and the community our work will serve.” – LeBron James

The board overseeing Springhill Co. will include Serena Williams and Boston Red Sox chairman Tom Werner. LeBron will be chairman of the board and Carter the CEO.
