The coronavirus has upended the fashion industry and some may say that it is long overdue. Yesterday we reported that Burberry would be cutting its dividend due to lack-luster sales attribute to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gucci is announcing that it will now be heading into a seasonless future of fashion.
Creative Director Alessandro Michele shared via Instagram “I would like to leave behind the paraphernalia of leitmotifs that colonized our prior world: cruise, pre-fall, spring-summer, fall-winter. I think these are stale and underfed words.”
