For weeks we have seen trailers and visuals for the highly anticipated Martin Scorsese film The Irishman. The film has finally landed on Netflix and the reaction on Twitter has been what you would have expected from a film that features three of our generations greatest actors in Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, and Al Pacino. The film stars the trio and tells the story of a Philly mob led by WWII veteran, hustler, and hitman, Frank Sheeran (DeNiro), and the disappearance of legendary union boss, Jimmy Hoffa.
Check out the trailer here and some of the reactions below:
“guys The Irishman is so good holy shit.” – @briannazigs
“Please, watch The Irishman on Netflix. It’s one of Scorsese’s best, & one of the best pictures of the decade. It’s different than his other mob pictures. It’s a rich, complex journey about growing old, sins of the past, & the footprints you leave behind. It deserves your time.” – @realmattcooke
“Stop whatever you are doing and watch the GOAT director do his thing.” – @Obi_Josh_Kenobi
