GOOGLE SNAPS UP FITBIT FOR $2.1 BILLION USD

Google’s parent company Alphabet has purchased Fitbit for $2.1 billion USD. Details of the deal are sparse, but this would position Google’s Alphabet company into the wearable fitness tracking space and in direct competition with Apple’s Apple Watch.
