Buzz for Popeyes new chicken sandwich has led to long lines and many locations being sold out of this succulent treat. According to some reports, each location is selling more than 1,000 chicken sandwiches a day!
Not one to miss out on an opportunity to make a little extra coin, Quavo of the Migos took to his Instagram to take advantage of this most basic economics concept, supply vs demand. In the video he opens up the trunk of his SUV and says: “I heard y’all boys was looking for them, they sold out everywhere. I got them things going for $1,000 a chicken.” This works out to be about a 24,900 percent markup!
