Will Smith announced via his Instagram to announce that that after 23 years, Aladdin has knocked off Independence Day as the actor’s highest grossing film. This is a monumental achievement given Will Smith’s impressive resume which includes films such as Bad Boys, MIB, Enemy of the State, I am Legend, Suicide Squad, I, Robot, and Ali. Aladdin has raked in $824 million USD, and counting while Independence Day brought in $817.4 million USD in 1996.
