FC Barcelona, the most powerful club in the world has announced that it will be opening a training academy in Orlando, FL this coming season. Facilities will be located across the city including Austin Tindall Regional Park in Kissimmee and Boone High School, Orange County.
Why this matters: This move is part of a larger push for the club to have a bigger footprint in the United States as well as a worldwide boots of its Barça Academy project.

What’s next?: The club will host a public tryout on June 8th (3pm – 8pm) at Austin Tindall Regional Park and will be open to boys and girls ages 5 to 18 years old. Once the prospective players go through the tryout, the technical director will make the final decision on which program fits the player better into the academy.
