COUNTRY HOUSE WINS CONTROVERSIAL KENTUCKY DERBY

A 65-1 long shot by the name of Country House  won this year’s Kentucky Derby after the favored horse Maximum Security was disqualified. This was the first time a stewards’s inquiry has disqualified the first horse to cross the finish line in the Kentucky Derby’s 145 year history. To put in perspective, a $2 bet on Country House paid $132.40. This was the second highest payout in Derby history.
