“Boyz n the Hood” and “Poetic Justice” director John Singleton has passed away at the age of 51 as confirmed by the family this morning. Singleton suffered a massive stroke on April 17th and has been hospitalized ever since. Singleton was the first black filmmaker to be nominated for the best director Oscar award.
