COLIN KAEPERNICK HAS HELPED BOOST NIKE ONLINE SALES BY 31%

Following reports of Nike receiving $43 million worth of free advertising as a result of making Colin Kaepernick the face of its new “Just Do It” campaign, Nike is reporting that their online sales have grown by 31%. According to a report from Edison Trends, Nike’s online sales grew 31% from Sunday through Tuesday of Labor Day weekend this year, which is notably greater than last year’s 17% seasonal increase. Though online sales have seen an increase, Nike’s stock fell more than 3% after the news broke about Kaepernick being the announced as the face of the campaign.
