Today we are getting the first official trailer for the JAY-Z-executive produced docu-series Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story. The six-part series documents the events leading up to the incident between then 17-year-old Trayvon Martin and neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman. Zimmerman who shot and killed Trayvon Martin was later acquitted of all charges in 2013. The acquittal led to nationwide protests and outrage. More importantly it helped to galvanize the Black Lives Matter movement and memorialize Trayvon Martin. Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story will make its debut on July 30th on the Paramount Network.
