We woke up to news this morning on the east coast that Kris Van Assche would be vacating his role as artistic director at Dior Homme after serving in the position for the past 11 years.  Shortly there after news broke that Kim Jones who recently left his post at Louis Vuitton would be replacing Kris Van Assche. This is a seismic shakeup in the fashion industry.  Kim Jones is slated to show his first collection for Dior Homme in June during Paris Fashion Week. In a report from WWD, Van Assche will remain within LVMH, and assume a new role.

Notable Quotes: “We are delighted to welcome Kim Jones at Dior Homme. He will benefit from the support of the teams and from the ‘savoir-faire’ of the Ateliers to create an elegant men’s wardrobe both classic and anchored in contemporary culture. I am confident that he will continue to further develop Dior Homme on a global scale.” – Pietro Beccari Dior chairman and chief executive
