The latest Stephen King adaptation, IT, continues to scare its way to record breaking numbers. Based on the films projected pace, it is tracking to be the highest-grossing horror film by the end of the week. This will surpass 1973’s The Exorcist which has brought roughly $233 million USD in lifetime earnings. According to projections, IT will close the week with $270 million USD in earnings domestically. Globally the film has grossed $376 million. The film is not only killing numbers, but it has earned an impressive 85% on Rotten Tomatoes.
