Clocking in as the youngest celebs to land on Forbes 100 as a result of her lucrative endorsement deals, hit televesion show and her cosmetic line Kylie Cosmetics, Kylie Jenner is a bona fide mogul. In a recent interview with WWD, Kylie revealed that the brand has pulled in over $420 million USD in retail sales in just 18 months, which puts it on pace to reach annual sales of $1 billion USD by 2022!
This staggering sales growth is unheard of. It has taken decades for some of the top brands in the industry to reach that mark. Estée Lauder’s Bobbi Brown (25 years) and L’Oréal-owned Lancôme (80 years). With those kind of numbers, the line would be prime for acquisition, but that’s not where her mind is at. Kylie says she “wants to keep building it and just show people what I can do on my own.”
