RUSSELL WESTBROOK NAMED MVP AT INAUGURAL NBA AWARDS CEREMONY

Last night New York City played host to the first-ever NBA Awards ceremony. The event was hosted by Toronto’s own Drake. Capping the night off was the award for the NBA’s Most Valuable Player for the 2016-2017 season.  That award was bestowed on Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook. Westbrook had a phenomenal season that saw him notch 42 triple-doubles during the season. Westbrook averaged a tripe-double during the regular season with 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists per game.
