Founder of Turkish streetwear label Les Benjamins, Bunyamin Aydin is representing the Middle East in a new global competition being put on by Nike to celebrate the Air Max’s 30th anniversary. The Vote Forward competition brings together 12 creatives who are being referred to as Revolutionaires from around the world to work on a new creative concept for the next iteration of the Air Max. Aydin’s design was inspired by Turkish rugs and reflects the Eastern culture of the capital. “I grew up in the West and now I live in the East,” he said in an Instagram video for Nike. “I love both and in my work I always try to merge both. That’s what I do, I breathe and I love.” To cast your vote and to take a look at the other entries visit nike.com/voteforward.
