TOM FORD TO DROP “SEE-NOW-BUY-NOW” STRATEGY

The jury is still out on if the “see-now-buy-now” method that a lot of high profile designers employed this past season was a success.  Tom Ford is the first to cut his losses and move on from it. In making his collection available immediately after presenting on the runway, shipping complication lead to lost sales and the all important media attention a fresh collection receives. It’ll be interesting to see which designer will be the next to drop the once highly touted strategy.
