A few months ago when Riccardo Tisci and Givenchy mutually agreed to part ways, there were number of rumors swirling about as to who would fill his shoes. At one point Virgil Abloh’s name was thrown around. All of those rumors have been put to bed. The luxury fashion house has named Clare Waight Tisci’s successor. She also becomes the first female ever to be named creative director for Givenchy. Clare has an impressive background which includes having worked at places such as Ralph Lauren’s Purple Label, Tom Ford, Gucci, Calvin Klein, and Pringle of Scotland. Given Givenchy’s move to more streetwear under Tisci, it’ll be interesting to see if Clare takes things back to the label’s couture roots.
