In Range Rover’s almost 50 year history, the brand has only developed three basic models – the original, the Sport and the Evoque which was launched in 2010. Now the British SUV maker is introducing a fourth member to the family, the Velar. The Velar is slated to fit between the latter two models. With the exception of the following statement from Range Rover, additional details about the Velar are scarce. “We call the Velar, the avant-garde Range Rover,” Land Rover Chief Design Officer Gerry McGovern said in a statement. “It brings a new dimension of glamor modernity and elegance to the brand. The Range Rover Velar changes everything.” Additional news is said to be forthcoming on March 1st.
