Whether you are in a relationship or not, Valentine’s Day can be a source of anxiety for most individuals.  The pressures of getting that perfect gift, securing reservations at the new “it” restaurant in town or setting up the perfect evening is all too real. If you want to make the best impression on that special someone in your life, keep it simple, show effort and dress for the occasion. Remember this day isn’t about you, this is about them. More specifically showing them how much you care.  I’ve teamed up with Abercrombie to share a few things to help you win Valentine’s Day.

Rules of Engagement

Skip the restaurants and find a great recipe that you can cook together at home. There are tons of simple recipes online that you can pull off that will have you looking like chef Gordon Ramsay without breaking the bank. Don’t forget the flowers.  Flowers are always a nice touch. If you can, avoid having them delivered. If you really want to make an impression, hand deliver them yourself. If time is on your side, plan a getaway. This does’t have to be extravagant, just something that changes the scenery and gets you out of your normal routine. Small towns have great festivals and events that are perfect for couples looking to get away for a day or two. If all else fails, just take her to go see Fifty Shades Darker.
