A couple of weeks ago, Nintendo announced that it was going to be releasing a miniature version of its once popular NES gaming system with 30 pre-loaded games. Now, its long-time rival SEGA is getting in on the retro action. SEGA is set to release one of its retro consoles to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog. The mini Mega Drive will contain 80 stored games and will allow you the ability to plug in the original cartridges. SEGA will also be releasing a 3.2 inch display portable gaming system that includes a rechargeable battery with USB charger. Some of the built in titles include SEGA classics like Sonic the Hedgehog, Golden Axe and Mortal Kombat. Both units are scheduled to ship in October.
