Following his announcement to run for President in 2020, one of the world’s most respected publications will be featuring the potential presidential candidate on its cover. “The New Yorker”, with the help of illustrator Barry Blitt will be featuring Kanye West on its September 14th issue. If the image looks familiar it is because it is a replication of the original “Dewey Beats Truman” photo in which Harry Truman holds a prematurely misprinted Chicago Daily Tribune newspaper cover in 1948.  Blitt offered his comments on the cover saying “…it doesn’t take a whole lot of imagination to be reminded of another scrappy kid who won the Presidency, back in 1948, against all odds. The press wrote him off, too. That’s right—Harry Truman.” Could this be a sign of things to come?
