“Made in Italy” Maserati + famed fashion designer Ermenegildo Zegna revealed the new Ghibli and Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna options packages inspired by their rich Italian heritage throughout Northern Italy this week. Catering to the customer who embodies “The Absolute Opposite of Ordinary,” Maserati’s chic new Ermenegildo Zegna options packages allow customers to further tailor the interiors of their Maserati Ghibli or Quattroporte sedans to fit their discerning preferences.
The Ermenegildo Zegna interior exclusively for Maserati combines Poltrona Frau leather with 100% natural fiber Zegna Mulberry Silk inserts on the seats, door panels, roof lining, sunshades and ceiling light fixture. Available for the interiors of the Quattroporte and Ghibli models, this interior option will be the most exquisite of all Maserati customizations. The fashionable options packages feature three distinct color combinations, exclusive to Maserati.
The two iconic Italian brands were joined by Carmelo Anthony, famed New York Knicks basketball player and NBA All-Star, who made a special pit stop at Maserati’s proving grounds en route to Milan Fashion Week to preview the new stylish sport sedans. The popular All-Star player and NY based trendsetter was invited by Maserati for an immersive Italian driving experience that included a visit to Ermenegildo Zegna’s historic wool mill Lanificio Zegna and exhilarating track experience at Maserati’s Balocco Circuit for hot-laps with pro-racers.
It was an adrenaline-filled event: a breath-taking series of laps in the victorious Maserati MC12, driven by the men that brought it to fame in the FIA GT championship. Balocco, theofficial Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Proving Ground, boasts nearly 50 miles of circuits and bends for every driving condition, 13 different areas to test the vehicles’ dynamics and other crucial aspects during the development phase. The visit concluded with an exclusive “behind the scenes” tour of Maserati’s new state of the art Avv. Giovanni Agnelli Plant in Grugliasco, Turin to see first-hand the process of blending cutting edge technology with exquisite “Made in Italy” quality.
The exclusive outfit for Ghibli and Quattroporte is scheduled to arrive fall 2015 on model year 2016 vehicles.
