British fashion house Burberry has just opened a new store in the growing Miami Design District. Due to the success of the annual Art Basel art festival and other initiatives, the neighborhood has gone through a number of changes which now makes it a premier destination for high-end shopping. The Burberry boutique will join other luxury high-end stores that have recently opened such as Hublot, Giorgio Armani, Bulgari and Vacheron Constantin.
Burberry’s chief creative/CEO Christopher Bailey worked closely with architects and designers to translate the brand’s retail standards to fit the Miami Design District location, such as the Retail Theater concept. Similar to its boutiques elsewhere in the world, the new storefront has a series of video screens and enhanced audio/video capabilities to broadcast Burberry content and live events from its headquarters in London. The new store is located on 39th Street and officially opened its doors on January 9th.
