Reports are beginning to surface regarding the acquisition of music streaming service Songza by Google. The music streaming service has been in Google’s crosshairs for the past several weeks, but nothing official has come of the talks until today. Although neither side has disclosed the terms of the deal, initial reports peg the purchase price in the $15 million range. According to Google nothing is going to change about the service although their expertise will be applied to Google Play and YouTube. Songza will stay in its Long Island City office for the next few weeks before moving to Google’s New York offices.
