A little over a week ago I was invited by the NHRA to Las Vegas to be a part of the NHRA’ s Media Experience that took place at The Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This was truly one of the most amazing events that I have ever been a part of. I had full access to the racers, their crew and the families that make this sport the success that it is.
One the things that I noticed from the moment I stepped on the track was just how friendly and accessible the drivers were. In most sports, athletes are kept at a distance from the fans. Not with the NHRA.
This is one of the few sports where the fans are as integral to the sport as the racers themselves. After spending a few days with some of the teams and racers, I left with a new found respect for everything that goes into these races.
The NHRA season runs through November. If you are able to get out to a race this season, you will not be disappointed. Check out the full schedule here.
A big thank you to NHRA, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and The Westin for being such gracious hosts.
Had the opportunity to interview Brittany Force who talked about what it was like to compete at the highest level and growing up in the competitive Force household.
