“The future of CNN is as much about digital as about television, if not more.”
It was those words delivered by CNN President Jeff Zucker which kicked off a press event on Wednesday where CNN unveiled plans for a digital makeover. The $15M that CNN will be spending will be spread across multiple platforms. During the presentation, Zucker highlighted the importance of a mobile future. Altogether, mobile accounts for 39% of CNN.com’s traffic. The site will remain in private beta until Sept. 30, when it will be introduced to the public. A complete version is expected to debut sometime in November.
