By now, everyone has heard the news that Batman will appear in the Man of Steel sequel in 2015. The announcement was ushered in by Zack Snyder reading Bruce Wayne’s famed threat to Clark Kent in D.C. Comics epic graphic novel The Dark Night Returns.
According to Snyder, it was all but inevitable “the greatest superheroes in the world” would be together on the same screen. For those who haven’t read the novel, here’s an excerpt from the novel.
“You’re beginning to get the idea Clark… This is the end, for both of us. We could have changed the world, now look at us.
I’ve become a political liability, and you… You’re a joke.
I want you to remember, Clark; In all the years to come, in all your most private moments, I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you” – Bruce Wayne
Henry Cavill will be back to reprise the role of Superman, while it’s still unclear who will play Batman.
