If you are in the market for a car north of say, $100,000 – look no further than the 2014 Mercedes-Benz. For 2014, there are some significant upgrades to the German automaker’s flagship sedan.
For starters, you get two 12.3 screens that display the instrument cluster and infotainment, and interior LEDs. The exterior hasn’t been left out of the fun either. The brake light system features LED brake lights that dim at night so you don’t blind the soccer mom in her minivan behind you.
Under the hood, the S-Class sports a twin turbo 4.7-liter V-8 engine with 516 lb-ft of torque. What that amounts to is a zippy ride to the grocery store. A 0-60 mph time can be clocked at roughly 4.8 seconds.
Other cutting edge features include “Magic Body Control” that uses stereo cameras to read the road and adjust the suspension accordingly, comprehensive front and rear massaging system and an “Air Balance” package that fills the cabin with your choice of five different scents.
The new S-Class will hit showrooms beginning in September of this year. The AWD version will follow in November.
