Today, Pandora announced that they have now passed 200 million register users for its streaming music service.  Despite various streaming services that have come and gone and the arrival of Spotify, Pandora is showing no signs of slowing down.  To put things in perspective, it took Pandora 6 years to reach 100 million users and a little less than a year to double that original milestone that was reached on July 2011.

“We started this company to help people discover and enjoy music they love, and to help artists reach and grow their audiences. Only in our wildest dreams did we imagine what it would become,” Pandora’s founder Tim Westergren said in a statement. “It is now clear that radio is changing, and that’s great news for music fans and for the tens of thousands of working artists who now have a home on the air.”
