Ripasso Italian Cucina & Wine Bar opened its doors in Bucktown in 2011 with an immediate fan-base—the former spot from chef-owner Theo Gilbert, Terragusto, served some of the best pasta dishes in Chicago. Ripasso churns out the best of Terragusto’s menu alongside an array of new small plates and a sophisticated cocktail list.
The interior decor gives the restaurant an inviting neighborhood vibe, with exposed pipes lining the ceiling, an open kitchen in the back and bare-bones butcher-block tables flanked on one side by cozy banquette seating.
