In what marks the end of an era and the farewell to print, Newsweek magazine final print issue hit newsstands today.  After 80 years of being in print and featuring just about anyone who is anyone on the cover, the publication will join TIME magazine as an online only publication.

The new version will serve as a single, worldwide edition targeted for a highly mobile audience interested in getting world news and events in a sophisticated context.  In a fitting end, the final cover features a hashtag. A clear indication of where the future of news is headed.
